Description

During this workshop, participants will discover how a hive works and how bees communicate. Models and posters will be available.

To engage children, a real bee language treasure hunt will be held using cards and a 'bee' dance model.

We will also talk about the place of bees in their environment and the importance of their conversations.

Goal

Participants put themselves in the shoes of researchers who have discovered and dissected the language of bees. This language is now used in microrobots or to track bees and better understand their behavior in order to save them.

Description

During this workshop, it will be explained what bio-inspiration means: drawing inspiration from living elements in order to meet a need.

So this is a creative workshop.

Items that have been used by researchers to create technologies will be contributed (bark, flowers, cabbage....

The participants will then pick up one or more elements, and create new technologies inspired by nature. Their creation will be done in the form of a drawing.

Goal

Making participants the researchers of tomorrow during a workshop.

To show that nature is full of elements that can help us in our daily lives and that it is always possible to create and innovate. It is therefore important to protect it.

Description

In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the basic techniques of taxidermy for insects.

Depending on the age of the participants, more or less fragile specimens will be provided (butterflies, beetles... etc.).

Participants will be able to leave with their specimen pinned in a small bell provided for this purpose.

Goal

This workshop aims to raise awareness of the fauna that insects make up, as well as their ecological importance.

This delicate manipulation also allows not only to initiate the techniques of conservation of a specimen, but also to 'demystify' an aspect that can sometimes frighten or question.
