I am an associate professor of materials physics at the University of Lorraine. My research on composites has been incorporated into world-leading software used by major industrial groups, and I am now developing bio-based composites. I am also the author of the popular science book *Plastic: The Automotive Industry’s Secret to Lightweighting*, published by EDP Sciences.
